With all of the new devices that are released so fast we have a hard time keeping up with which ones will get the newest and greatest updates. To date we can assume that every Android device released will get one update to the next Android OS.
Samarth Rasiwasia, an employee of Google and HTC has posted some information to let us know what HTC devices should see the update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich:
Technically all the Android powered devices capable of running of Android Gingerbread will be able to run Android 4.0 ICS but Practically all devices may not give an overall good user experience . So all the manufactures are reviewing ICS on their devices to check the user experience and will release the latest OS according to the results.
HTC’s list of devices that will surely get ICS :
* HTC Sensation (XL,XE,Original)
* HTC EVO 3D
* HTC Incredible S
* HTC Desire HD
* HTC Flyer
* HTC Rhyme
* HTC Desire S
* HTC Salsa
* HTC Desire Z
* Google Nexus One
Just because this was posted doesn’t mean that all of the devices will get the update to Android 4.0 but does mean some will and they all could. Those devices that don’t get the official release of Ice Cream Sandwich will surely get an unofficial port before its all over with.
Hey all sorry to say nexus one not getting ics 4.0
What about wildfire s?
Whta about the HTC MyTouch 4G Slide? cause if this device don’t get the update I’ll have to tell everybody not to get it and if they have it ti demand a refund or sell it for a Samsung Phone
i am guessing and fones that have the same spec or lower than nexus one will not get it
Samarth Rasiwasia is NOT a HTC or Google engineer!!!
He is a fraud!
