MSI WindPad Enjoy 10 and Enjoy 7

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

MSI (or Taiwan-based Micro-Star International) have unveiled a pair of new Android tablets:

  • WindPad Enjoy 10 – Estimated $299 Price Tag
  • WindPad Enjoy 7 – Estimated $199 Price Tag

As you can guess the WindPad Enjoy 10 is a 10-inch model while the WindPad Enjoy 7 is 7-inches.  Each are expected to begin shipping to retailers later next month where they will have very nice price tags.

According toPC World, the Wi-Fi-only Enjoy 10 is heavier than the iPad 2 and has only 4GB of memory although other specs include:

  • 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor(which is no joke)
  • mini-USB
  • mini-HDMI
  • microSD support
  • Bluetooth
  • accelerometer

The two devices were shown running Android 2.3 Gingerbread however MSI hopes to deploy future models with Honeycomb later this year.  Neither device is expected to offer the Android Market when they arrive although this has never been a problem with our wonderful Android Community.

While these can’t really compete with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or Motorola XOOM, the price point will cover those that want a tablet but don’t want the heavy cost associated with owning one.  MSI will be another Tablet that will close the gap between High end and low end tablets like the Archos 101 has already opened the doors for.
