The LG Optimus 2X will not see Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Many users of the LG Optimus 2X have been asking if they will get the much anticipated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. The answer is no it will not. This being said all of us that are part of the Android world know that the LG Optimus 2X will likely see the Android 4.0 update but in the form of a custom ROM like CyanogenMod.
Its too early to make it official but a question asked on LG’s Facebook page was answered, and I quote:
“We will not be introducing Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich updates on LG Optimus 2X P990. Keep watching this space for further updates”.
All those that own the Optimus 2X can do now is hold out for someone in the community to port the new Android OS to the device which should not take long.
