Universal Remote Control for Android Devices

Wednesday, November 9th, 2011

Griffin and Dijt Media have created a universal remote control called Beacon. This new device will turn your Android phone or tablet into a fully functional universal remote control. The device uses your Android device to communicate with the Beacon that will then send a signal to your TV, Dvd player, stereo, or any other device sitting there.

This along with the new Lockitron door locks also powered by your Android phone could mean all you ever need is a phone and never worry about anything else. If your like me you always have your phone but may forget everything else.

The app for the device is powered by Dijt Media providing the remote control UI. The Beacon device will cost around $69.99 and can be ordered directly from Griffin or found at Best Buy. If you decide to get one of these let us know how you like it.
