Gesture Brightness

Gesture Brightness is a cool and customizable brightness controller that you can activate without any navigation through menus or home screen pages. It doesn’t use hardware sensors and it doesn’t drain your device’s energy. It saves space on the home screens, it’s personalizable, works under locked screen too and it’s cool! The light of the sun won’t bother anymore.

If you are looking for a brightness widget, you should know that Gesture Brightness is more than a widget! It is a cool and customizable HD brightness controller. You can activate it with no need to look at your display, wherever you are and whatever you are doing, just tap on the top corners of the screen in sequence(tutorial inside) and that’s it!

First of all we want to thank the CyanogenMod team and Jokersax for all the work they have done to get a fully functional CM9 build ported to the Motorola Atrix 4G. The CM9 build for the Motorola Atrix 4G does have a few bugs but for most they will not even be noticed and I’m sure that the current beta build will be released as a stable build very soon as it works great.

Picture Puzzle 2in1We have all played puzzle games as children and now there is one like no other on the Android Market called Picture Puzzle 2in1. If you like to entertain yourself by making a beautiful picture from little details then this is the game for you!  The Picture Puzzle 2 in 1 is entertaining for adults and children. This game is not only for training your brain but also allows you to enjoy nice pictures which are a result of solving the puzzle.

The game has two different modes:

PICTURE PUZZLE 2 in 1 has more than 60 levels with amazing pictures. The levels are opened one after the other. Each of levels is unique by the picture it has. Images from 4 themes will be presented to your attention – cars, desserts, cats and… there is one more theme but that will be surprise for you.  Also PICTURE PUZZLE 2 in 1 is needed to tell about several levels of complexity. You can play on the game area with 3х3, 4х4, 5Х5, 6х6, 7х7 and even 8х8 size. Somebody who opened all pictures, played all game’s modes can try “The 15″ without any digit hints – and just believe me it is not a joke to solve.

Google Maps Update to Improve Battery LifeGoogle Maps has been updated to increase battery performance for latitude and location history users and a few bug fixes. Since Google Maps is the primary app that most users use for gps and other location services its nice to see these types of updates. While only a few updates to the app its always good to increase battery life and decrease its burn by even a little.

Of course you can just update the app via the Android Market so no need for a download here. Let us know if you notice any changes other than what we have mentioned above.

Acer Iconia Tab A500

Acer has announced that the Acer Iconia Tab A500 will be receiving the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update in April. This was posted on Acers New Zealand Facebook page. This should make all of the owners of the Iconia Tab A500 very happy to see the device finally get the update they have been waiting for.

Great news, everyone! We’ve just got confirmation from HQ that the Iconia Tab A500 will be getting Ice Cream Sandwich in April. No exact date yet, but we’ll let you know when we have it. What are you looking forward to most in ICS?

There was no date in April set for the release of the Ice Cream Sandwich update although you’ve waited this long so whats the month of April. No reference of the update in the US or any other country so the update may just start in April in Australia. Either way its on its way.

Samsung Developer Day at MWCSamsung released a “Guide to Samsung Developer Day” for Mobile World Congress this year that shows a Galaxy Note 10.1. We already knew that Samsung would not be announcing the Galaxy S III at MWC so have to assume that there is a reason other than the device not being ready for prime time. We see that the S-Pen is a big focal point for Samsung and with that they state that the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 10.1 and Wave devices will be announced together.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet is said to be created for education, art and financial planning. This will be a device that is being promoted to students and was a commercial said to be in the works. The posting has since been removed but was supposed to be filmed early this month.

As we find out more about this Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet we will be sure to let everyone know. Either way this should be an interesting MWC for Samsung.
