Those of you that have already got your hands on the Samsung Galaxy SIII will be happy to see that CyanogenMod has released CM9 nightly build for the Android device. Most of you with the device are over seas although soon we should see the same love for the US version once we get them. While the CM9 nighties are the latest and greatest they still come with a few bugs on the Galaxy SIII.
Still Not Working on CM9 for the Samsung Galaxy SIII:
The only issue that we currently see that may be a show stopper for some users that take a lot of pictures on their Android devices is the fact that the flash is bugging out. This being said we imagine this will be fixed very shortly with the number of developers supporting the Galaxy SIII.
For all of the infuriation on Installing CM9 on the Samsung Galaxy SIII head on over to XpLoDWilD’s XDA Thread.
If you search for Gapps for the Nook Color or how to install Google Apps or Android Market you will get some very large Gapps files but everything within these aren’t needed for all devices. In the case of the Nook Color you will not need the full Gapps for example NFC support would be useless and in most cases causes the Nook to bug out on ROM startup since there is no NFC support. You will also notice that the facial recognition unlock is gone as well, since the Nook Color has no camera this could cause issues if turned on. The file below is to install the Google Market, Talk, etc. on the Nook Color.
Make sure your Wifi is working and is connected before beginning the process below. If your Wifi has issues follow this article: Nook Color Wifi Fix on CM9
Install Google Apps on the Nook Color:
If there are any issues with the installation of Gapps on your Nook Color please let us know so that we can adjust the instructions as needed. We have tested this and have had a flawless experience each time so this should be rather straight forward.
Right now one of the most popular phones around is the HTC One X and the most popular Android custom ROM is and always has been CyanogenMod. Now you can get CyanogenMod 9 on the HTC One X. At the time of this article the HTC One X running CM9 still has a few bugs but is a great ROM just the same. With the release of the HTC One X kernel source recently and HTC’s overall customer satisfaction when it comes to allowing the dev community access to bootloaders the CM9 ROM on the HTC One X should be flawless before long.
At the time of this article the HTC One X running CM9 takes a while to connect to 3G and does not support Wi-Fi and camera. This being said if your interested in the CM9 ROM here is how you do it.
How to Flash CM9 on the HTC One X:
As always we aren’t responsible for your device or the process here so do it at your own risk. If you have any issues however drop us a comment and we will gladly help as best we can.
Sony’s flagship phone the Xperia S has been out for only a few weeks now and already has an unofficial port of CyanogenMod 9 and ClockworkMod Recovery available. We say unofficial because the CM9 (Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich) ROM was not released officially by CyanogenMod but a few devs over at XDA. As long as you know your way around Android and its bootloader you can now get CM9 on your Xperia S.
Both of the mods are available via modified versions of the originals using a process called “changing”. The recovery was created by “DoomLoRD” and has a completely custom and altered user interface. All of your daily needed functions are working on the DooMRecovery and CyanogenMod 9.
A few of the missing features in the CM9 port are the HDMI-out, FM radio and ANT+ for GPS tracking although everything else has been reported as working. If your Xperia S is not already rooted you will need to go through the command line process of flashing a new kernel. Currently the ROM and Recovery are available although you will need better than a novice understanding of Android and Flashing processes. If your interested in the ROM but are worried about your Xperia S bricking I would wait for the next iteration.

CyanogenMod 9 is available for the Samsung Galaxy SII in the form of a CM9 nightly build. If you remember, there was recently a leaked version of the official Ice Cream Sandwich build available but if your interested in the CM9 version you can now get that as well.
CyanogenMod 9 is the fully custom Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM by CyanogenMod that is by far the most popular Android ROM development team there is. CM9 for the Samsung Galaxy S II is the complete Ice Cream Sandwich experience without TouchWiz getting in the way.
To download the CyanogenMod 9 Nightly build for the Samsung Galaxy S II follow the source link below. If you try it out let us know what you think and if you notice any issues.

Since the release of the Android kernel source code for the HP TouchPad CyanogenMod have been hard at work. The CyanogenMod 9 (CM9) Alpha 2 build for the HP TouchPad now has Neflix support and streams very nicely on the build.
While the camera and a few other things aren’t working on the CM9 Alpha 2 build for the TouchPad it is a very stable build for daily use. If you just have your TouchPad sitting around collecting dust you should head over to CyanogenMod’s website and grab the newest build.
To be honest if you have a TouchPad still running WebOS then you are doing yourself an injustice by not flashing the CM9 ROM. If you decide to run or are already running the CM9 Alpha 2 ROM please let us know how Netflix is working on it and any other issues you may cross.
We want to thank the CyanogenMod team and Jokersax for all the work they have done to get a fully functional CM9 Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich build ported to the Motorola Photon 4G. The CM9 build for the Motorola Photon 4G does have a few bugs but nothing that will effect its everyday use. To Install ICS on the Photon follow the instructions below.
PLEASE WAIT FOR AN UPDATE TO THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE ATTEMPTING. IT SEEMS THERE ARE SOME KEY ITEMS THAT ARE MISSING.
Prerequisites to install CM9 on the Photon 4G:

First of all we want to thank the CyanogenMod team and Jokersax for all the work they have done to get a fully functional CM9 build ported to the Motorola Atrix 4G. The CM9 build for the Motorola Atrix 4G does have a few bugs but for most they will not even be noticed and I’m sure that the current beta build will be released as a stable build very soon as it works great.

Prerequisites to install CM9 on the Atrix 4G:
How to Install CM9 on the Atrix 4G:
After you have flashed your device to CM9 you will need to install Gapps to get all of the Google Apps required to access the Android Market etc (Download Gapps). You will flash Gapps the same way you did CM9 from steps 5 and 6.
If you have any issues installing CM9 on your Atrix let us know here and we will try to help you out. As always we are not responsible for the use of these instructions and you flash your device at your own risk.
And after the ROM is Installed this is what it looks like:
The HP TouchPad just will not die and for good reason. The TouchPad has the hardware to support Android and be a useful tablet, especially for those who got one during the fire sale a few months back. The HP TouchPad Kernel source was released by HP to the ClockworkMod developers to help with the CyanogenMod 9 port to the TouchPad.
HP has been a great supporter of the Android development community since they decided to put a stop to their WebOS.
“HP supports the community and was kind enough to provide us with the Android kernel source and some other GPL components that they modified for the few Touchpads that were accidentally released running Android… What’s interesting about this kernel is it seems to be a totally separate development from the webOS kernel (this was suspected from the very beginning), but now the comments in the code seem to imply that HP had another team working on Android port to Touchpad and that team appears to be totally separate from the webOS team. I wonder if that means there was a plan to ship the Touchpad with Android that were then preempted by webOS plans after Palm purchase.”
Currently there is no Wifi support on the TouchPad running the Android port. With HP helping CyanogenMod in the process we can assume that its now only a matter of time before CM9 is fully functional on the HP TouchPad and with the massive user base we are certain to see support from all avenues.
The Epic 4G was left out when CyanogenMod 7 was pushing out stable releases for devices but is now supported with CM9 Alpha 0. CyanogenMod 9 is the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM developed by the most popular ROM developer for Android there is. This ROM also allows those using the Samsung Epic 4G to have a system that doesn’t have to deal with TouchWiz at all.
What doesn’t work on the Samsung Epic 4G CM9 Build:
If you don’t mind what isn’t working being on the build then head on over to CyanogenMod and download the current stable ROM for the Epic 4G. None of the broken pieces above really effect normal phone functionality so go ahead and give it a shot. As always let us know if you install it and what you think about it.
Those of us that have the Motorola Atrix have been waiting for some time now to get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on the device and it seems for some of us the wait is over. While the CM9 ROM still has some bugs it is available and functions on the Motorola Atrix 4G. If your Atrix is your primary phone you may want to hold out due to some bugs that still aren’t ironed out completely but in any case its a nice ROM.
CyanogenMod Features not working on the Atrix 4G:
While there are some pretty hefty daily use items not quite there yet like the camera jokersax11 from XDA Developers has vowed that he will not stop until its fully functionally on the popular device. If you have already installed the ICS ROM on your Atrix 4G please let us know what you think. In the mean time we are gonna give it a shot with one of our test devices and get back to you later.
