The Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update is ready to roll out on Sprints Samsung Galaxy Tab July 5th. For those of you with rooted devices the ability to install Gingerbread on your tablet has been available for quite some time but those of you without root access its finally here.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Gingerbread Update July 5th
Enhancements in the Galaxy Tab Update Include:
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread
- HID Bluetooth
The update will be available via Google OTA starting July 5th and lasting around 4 days so if you don’t see it one day 1 you will within 4 days according to the release above.
To manually install the Gingerbread update on your Galaxy Tab:
- Go to Settings -> About my Galaxy Tab -> System Updates -> Update Android
- Select Update Now or Restart and Install
- Your Tablet will Reboot after updating
- Congrats your Now Running Gingerbread on your Galaxy Tab!
